#3 Our constructed world

1. I eat fast food 3 times a month.
2. Go shopping to a mall about twice a month.
3. I watch tv around 10 hours per week.
4. I don't play video games.
5. I surf online 3 hours a week.
6. It depends on the day but I usually send around 20 to 30 texts per day.
7. I think global warming is important. I want to travel the world as I get older so it's disappointing to find out that certain parts may not be there anymore due to global warming. Rain forests are being destroyed, land is being destroyed by earthquakes, tsunamis, and floods all because of global warming. The temperature is increasing, raising water levels, therefore putting parts of land under water and killing off species that need cooler climates. Animals shouldn't have to suffer because of people's poor environmental choices.
8. I can't say I pay much attention to what I buy. If there is an eco friendly product then I will choose that over the other one. I work at a market so I buy fresh - local produce rather than imported produce. My mom and I also use the material bags when we grocery shop instead of using plastic bags.
9. My life is somewhat constructed by the media. I'm not on my phone or computer a lot but I do allow certain things in the media to bug me. Facebook can be very excluding and disappointing which is why I don't go on it as much. People in the media can be misleading, sometimes I can be reading a magazine and the person and their life seem so perfect when in reality it's not. The media creates an appearance of everyone being perfect and the best role models so everyone should be just like them. People need to stop caring so much about the media and realize that they have what they have and they're the only ones that can change their own life.
